A Certificate in Hospitality Administration provides an industry specialization linked to one of the largest private sector employers in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States and the world. Paired with a major in a broader field (such as accounting, finance, marketing, or public relations), the certificate can help better define career opportunities within the exciting industries of hotels, foodservice and restaurants, aviation, special events, and tradeshows/conventions.

Qualifications for the Certificate Program

  • Current status as a Georgia State student with a major or minor in any discipline other than hospitality, or
  • A four-year degree from any accredited university/college in the United States, or
  • A degree from an international university that has been evaluated and equated to a four-year U.S. degree that would be accepted by Georgia State University
  • A minimum 2.5 GPA

Certificate Requirements

Certificates offered through the School of Hospitality require the completion of four hospitality courses with an overall grade point average of 3.0.
